Bernina Embroidery
Machine
The art of embroidery has been practiced worldwide since man
realized he could use a needle and thread to decorate his
clothes. It was a painstaking job to push needle and
thread by hand through material to create the
patterns and designs the wealthy craved. Colors meant
everything and the more intricate the design the more prominent
citizen you supposedly were.
Needless to say, with today's engineering marvels available
to just about every trade and industry, embroidery has not
been shut out. The sewing machine manufacturers realized they
had a strong market for a motorized, commercial like embroidery
machine and they put their pencils to the drawing board.
Several of the big names like Brother, Janome and Husqvarna all
came out with embroidery machines but the elite among them is
definitely the Bernina.
The Bernina embroidery machine is by far the most popular
and offers the most features. Its use is not limited to
embroidery as it has been designed to also work with the
quilting craft. An embroiderer might think they'd died and gone
to heaven when they see the more than 800 stitch designs
available to them. The patterns and sizes can all be adjusted
using the software that comes with the embroidery machine.
The most sought after model of Bernina embroidery machine is
the Artista 730E. There are less expensive embroidery machines
in the Bernina family but none as complete and powerful as the
730E. The additional features are well worth the few extra
dollars and will cut down the length of time it takes to create
your embroidered masterpiece.
